Stuff I Do

linz_semaphore

Greetings fans of obscure train movies! Welcome to my little blog. My name is Lindsay Korst and I reside in Post Falls, Idaho. The above picture is yours truly holding one of my favorite toys, a genuine Great Northern Railway semaphore signal blade.  Note the 24″ porcelain GN Ry. logo on the wall.  That came off the cab side of GN #604, an EMD GP7 diesel locomotive.  Can you tell?  I’m a big fan of the old Great Northern Railway.

This blog is a continuation of my original Obscure Train Movies blog….which had reached the limit of posts I could display at 140+ movies.

This is what I’d rather be doing — operating an EMD SD45! Fergus Falls, Minnesota, Monday, July 18, 2005 during the GNRHS convention.  I’m at the throttle of GN #400 “Hustle Muscle”.

In addition to my two obscure train movie blogs,  I am also involved with the following two websites:

Great Northern Railway Page  —  Creator and webmaster

Great Northern Railway Historical Society  —  Original creator and former webmaster. Board Member 2006 to 2011, 2015 to 2017. Member since 1997.

Now retired, I have lived in the Pacific Northwest and Inland Northwest for over 40 years.  I still enjoy getting out and railfanning the old Great Northern — as far west as Stevens Pass, north of Sandpoint, and on to Western Montana.

If you have ANY information about these movies you’d like to share, please contact me at: Lindsay.Korst@gmail.com, or leave a comment.   Thanks and enjoy the blog!
